The website motorrijders.nl wrote an article called “Really everything about the motorcycle helmet”. In it they share their knowledge on, among other things but not limited to a good fit, the right weight distribution and the ventilation of/in a motorcycle helmet.
“Research by helmet manufacturers has clearly shown that nearly three-quarters of motorcyclists ride with helmets that are too large.”
The article begins with this quote, borrowed from an existing study. As far as we are concerned, spot on because a good fit is incredibly important. In fact, it is one of the seven elements that make a helmet safe. A helmet should always and everywhere fit tightly around the skull and face.
It is a good article with a lot of valuable information on helmet safety and therefore worth reading as far as we are concerned.
